I haven’t posted for a while and I just wanted to let everyone know what I’ve been doing instead.
After regionals I decided it was time to ease up on Yugioh a bit. I had been spending a lot of money and time on the game, hoping to become competitive. While I wouldn’t say I did horrible, I don’t really feel the same desire now. I’ve still been going locally but only played one of the 2 weeks.
In recent weeks I’ve been pursuing other hobbies and interests. And with the release of Grand Theft Auto 5 last week, I’ve been pretty busy. When I’m not playing, my fiance is. We’ve been stealing and killing and destroying pretty much everything in sight for days. Its been fun.
But in the mean time, I’ve also been sewing a little. Yes, I’m cool like that. Yugioh, video games, guns, and sewing. Here’s a sample of what I’ve been working on:
They aren’t fantastic, but they’re hand sewn (aint got me one o’ them thar fancy sewin’ machines). The one on the left is obviously a plain ol’ Poke Ball. The one on the right was supposed to be a Park Ball. Unfortunately, while I was entranced with watching Heather play GTAV, I forgot that the Park Balls had a light blue seam instead of black. I might try to fix it one day but for now its just a yellow Poke Ball. They’re each about the size of a baseball. They take about 4 hours to complete, although I’ve been getting faster. The yellow one isn’t as round because the yellow part is felt instead of fabric like the red one.
I’ve also been working on a Blue-Eyes deck but I can’t come up with anything I really like. Everything I make seems really inconsistent. I could make a good one if I steal someone’s list online, but that’s no fun. Plus, I’ve spent enough on Yugioh for a while, so I don’t want to go out and buy more cards for a deck I wont really use. On the plus side, Evilswarm is a great matchup for Blue-Eyes; I’ve enjoyed using that on DevPro and at locals since the structure deck’s release.
